Charitable Doings

Give Back Saturday

We've put a new spin on Small Business Saturday! Every Saturday we will donate 15% of our in-store sales to our selected chairty of the month. Every time we vend we will raffle off a t-shirt, or some kind of handmade funky goodness, and ALL of those proceeds also go to our selected charity of the month. Every month we will choose a new charity to support. If you know of any good ones, let us know!

Our charity for the month of March is the Mother of Mercy - Mercy Fund.

The Mercy Fund is a significant component of our annual giving program at Mother of Mercy High School  and goes directly to supporting our operating budget. The unrestricted gifts made to the Mercy Fund enable our school leadership to apply  resources to the areas with the greatest need: perhaps new microscopes for our future doctors; safety equipment for our athletes; enhanced technology or new computers for our future graphic artists and network engineers, etc. While all gifts are of tremendous value in furthering the mission of Mother of Mercy High School, it is the Mercy Fund, in particular, that most immediately impacts the students and our day-to-day operations of the school.

Mats for the Homeless

We have a donation bin set up to collect plastic grocery bags. Periodically we will be hosting events to assemble these bags into sleeping mats for the homeless with the local community. It is a great way to recycle, as well as help out those in need. We appreciate all the help we can get in this humbling venture! If you can't make it to an event, please donate your plastic bags, or spread the word so others may help! See our home page for a listing of upcoming Mats for the Homeless events!
